Hello everyone, my name is Clémence Palanque and I live in Warsaw. I’m 14 years old and I’m French. I’ve been living in Poland for 3 years; we’re here because of my mom's work. Before living in Poland I lived all my life in Paris. I’m in the French school of Warsaw but there are many international students: Polish, German, Canadians, Spanish, Italian… I’m so happy to participate in this project, it will be very interesting to meet new people. Even though I live in Poland, I have an ordinary life: I like to play tennis, listen to music, and see my friends. All of my lessons are in French except of course English and Spanish. I love travelling around the world with my family, discovering new cultures and new landscapes. This summer I went to Kenya and it was gorgeous: I loved seeing all these animals and to know a bit more about the Africans and Kenyans' culture.
Warsaw is the capital city of Poland. This country is on the east of Europe. It’s a big city, but it is smaller than Paris. In the winter, the climate is very cold: a lot of snow and wind but in summer the weather is very nice and hot. In winter, we need to wear very hot clothes and good shoes so as not to catch a cold! The language that is spoken is Polish and it is very tricky. I tried to learn it but it was a disaster. But, I try everyday to know a little bit more. In Poland there is a lot of countryside. In this country, a lot of people are fluent in English, mostly the young people.
I’m very excited to tell you more about my country and learn more about yours. Goodbye!
